The Community Services Excellence Awards recognise best practice in the community sector and the important role organisations can play in making a positive difference through innovative and creative services.

Austral developed a training program in home and community care for remote Indigenous communities, to assist them in looking after ageing members of their population. In developing this program, Austral HR visited a number of remote communities to trial modules. The program was the first of its kind in Australia.

Austral was also a finalist in the Community Services Excellence Awards in the category of Building the Capacity of the Community Services Industry. This recognised the development of specially designed on the job training and specific resources for the needs of Activ Foundation Inc, and their clients with disabilities.

We have a strong record for services in the health, disability services, aged care and youth sectors, often for government, non profit organisations and Aboriginal corporations.
